CAPS will be closed Friday, December 23, through Monday, January 2, 2023, during the university's holiday closedown. If you're in crisis, please call 402.472.7450 and follow the prompts for immediate assistance (24/7).
There are three doctoral-level internship positions that are offered each year with an annual stipend of $35,568.
Benefits include 12 days of vacation and 12 days of sick leave each year (one full day is accumulated per month). Interns also receive 2 release days for professional development activities (e.g., conferences, interviews, dissertation defense) depending on travel needs. University Holidays are not a paid benefit.
Interns are eligible for medical insurance through UNL’s Department of Human Resources.
A limited financial budget may be provided to an intern for attending a professional training or attending the Annual Big 10 Counseling Center Conference. The budget is determined each fiscal year.
Interns have access to the University of Nebraska’s library system from their offices.
Interns are financially responsible for:
- Their provisional licensure as a mental health practitioner.
- Their own parking permit if they would like to park on campus.
