I started my journey at CAPS in 2020 as an intern and have continued as staff. I also enjoy spending time with my mini poodle, Gordo, traveling, reading and shopping.
I utilize a predominately Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to counseling that also integrates Attachment Theory and the consideration of the client’s cultural identities. I believe it is important to fully understand how an individual navigates the world and their experiences with power, privilege and discrimination. This integration allows me to support the client through psychoeducation to improve knowledge, skill building to stabilize symptoms, and processing lived experiences to facilitate awareness, insight and resiliency.
