I have been a part of the team at Counseling and Psychological Services since 2019. My training is rooted in Marriage and Family Therapy and when working with students I focus on the many systemic, familial, cultural, and societal influences that may be impacting each student's individual experience. I know life can get messy and we encounter many different emotions that strongly influence the way we see the world around us, the way we respond to trying times, and narrative we believe about ourselves. I see therapy as a tool to gain new insight, a means to take back control, and to be brave in making steps toward a life you feel empowered in.
I recognize that college students encounter so many unique circumstances at once, so I appreciate the opportunity to walk alongside individuals on their journey and to provide mental health support. I love working with the members of our CAPS team, because although we take the work we do seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously and you’ll often hear laughter in our hallways. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, go to concerts, and go for walks with my pup, Harvey.
