Big Red Pawp Up

Big Red Pawp Up

Pet a dog and de-stress. Certified therapy dog teams visit monthly at Love Library for students, faculty, and staff. Additional Pawp Ups will take place throughout the semester, so stay on the lookout!

Students gather with a therapy dog at Big Red Pawp Up inside Love Library. Fall 2023

Why you should visit our therapy dogs?

Dogs live in the present and can help us live in the "here & now" too!

  • stress relief & comfort
  • healthy distraction from academic stress
  • reduce loneliness & homesickness
  • boost your overall mood
  • build a sense of community

Requests

We encourage all members of the campus community to join us for our free and recurring monthly Big Red Pawp Up events (see calendar below).

If your department or organization would like to request one or more therapy dogs for a special event, please email at least one month prior to the event and provide any additional information (e.g., number of dogs, purpose of event, duration). Please also ensure that the building or outdoor space has approved dogs being present, as these are therapy dogs not service animals. We are unable to guarantee volunteers will be available but will do our very best!
